University of Pennsylvania — Urologic Surgeon-Oncologist

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic). Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Urology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students and urology residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and non-surgical care of patients (male and female) with general urological complaints.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic science translational urologic oncology efforts.

The clinical practice for this position will be housed primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, with additional clinical time at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Applicants shall have demonstrated expertise in all areas of outpatient and inpatient urology, with special facility in the evaluation and management of urologic oncology. They will also be expected to have an extensive research track record within that field, with the background and skill set to establish a basic science translational urologic oncology research program.
