University of Pennsylvania — Pulmonary and Critical Care Academic Clinician – Senior ranks

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pulmonary and critical care with an emphasis on critical care medicine and the delivery of critical care services to oncology patients. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care is required. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, residents and medical students. Clinical responsibilities may include delivery of medical critical care services across our integrated health system which is expanding with the creation of a new oncology ICU. Selected candidates will have experience working with advanced practice providers and/or trainees. This may include consultation and diagnosis and ongoing treatment of critically ill patients as an attending on the inpatient medical critical care services within the health system. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching responsibilities. There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
