The Department of Psychology at University of Detroit Mercy seeks to fill a tenure-track position in clinical psychology beginning August 2020. The position is at the rank of assistant professor and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and serving as core faculty in the APA-accredited program in clinical psychology. Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program with an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Michigan with strong clinical experience
  • Strong affinity for and ability to teach at undergraduate- and graduate-levels
  • Clear evidence of research productivity or potential
  • Clear evidence of the capacity to direct undergraduate and master's-level research projects as well as doctoral dissertations
  • Commitment to cultural inclusion and diversity

    Desired Qualifications:
    Although candidates specializing in any area of clinical psychology will be considered, we strongly desire a candidate with expertise in psychodynamic perspectives. Other areas of expertise that would be especially welcomed include: clinical assessment, clinical intervention, developmental, social, quantitative methods, or biological bases of behavior.
