Adjunct Lecturer of Communication
Innovation in the Information Economy

The Master of Science in Communication Data Science (CMDS) program, a joint degree program offered by the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism in partnership with the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach the “Innovation in the Information Economy Course” during the Spring semester of 2020. This is one of two core courses in the CMDS program. We are seeking applicants with deep knowledge of the origins, evolution and impact of innovation in the media, advertising and/or related communication industries. Ideal applicants will have both technical skills (e.g. programming, applied data science, digital analytics, etc.) and domain specific expertise (e.g. entertainment, marketing, advertising, social etc.).

Previous teaching experience is encouraged but not necessary. Professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Communication or a related field

Minimum Experience: Graduate teaching experience

Preferred Education: PhD in Communication or a related field.
