University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor of Physiology

The Department of Physiology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor in the tenure track. The position requires a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degree, plus demonstrated excellence in research. We seek an investigator with expertise in super-resolution microscopy, single molecule biophysics, protein counting/stoichiometry characterization with super-resolution microscopy, and correlative live-cell and super-resolution imaging of cellular organization. There should be particular emphasis on cytoskeleton-motor protein interactions, intracellular trafficking, chromatin/nucleosome organization and dynamics, and the application of quantitative analytical approaches. Applicants must have an established, well-funded research program and an extensive publication record in high-impact journals. Salary is commensurate with experience with a minimum salary for the rank of $72,600.
