Villanova University — Assistant Professor, Ethics

The Ethics Program of Villanova University seeks candidates for a continuing, non-tenure-track position. Responsibisities include a 4/4 teaching load with the core Ethics course (ETH 2050) as the primary responsibility, plus additional service for the program. A Ph.D. is preferred, though a Ph.D. candidate will be considered. After the fzrst year, the position is renewable in three-year increments. Promotion in rank is possible; promotion does not imply tenure. Candidates should have either expertise in Christian ethics, with competency to teach Western philosophical ethics, or expertise in Western philosophical ethics, with competency to teach Christian ethics. A person with competency in voices that are traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized is desirable.
