University of Tennessee at Martin — Assistant or Associate Professor of Political Science

Assistant or Associate Professor of Political Science: The University of Tennessee at Martin, College of Business and Global Affairs (CBGA), Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Political Science is seeking applications for a tenure-track appointment in Political Science. The position is open to applicants who are either doctoral qualified or ABD in Political Science. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2020.

The position is in International Relations, and candidates should have an interest in teaching International Relations and American Foreign Policy. Desirable candidates would also have the ability to teach courses in a regional specialization, specifically Latin American or Asian politics. The ability to teach courses in national security and globalization would also be desirable. Candidates should be willing to teach one to two online courses per academic year. The position is a nine-month appointment. Summer teaching is optional and available depending on student demand. Other responsibilities include the following: student advising, research, service, internship supervision, and involvement in Political Science-related student activities. The position will also involve providing support for the International Studies major.
