Position Title: Assistant Professor, Research Track

The Department of Pharmacology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of systems pharmacology, neuropharmacology, pharmacomicrobiome, biologics, metabolomics, circadian and sleep biology, cellular therapeutics, immunopharmacology, and/or mechanisms of immune-based drugs. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing and overseeing a productive and vibrant research lab, publishing high impact papers in top tier journals, successfully obtaining external funding support to sustain the lab and achieving national / international recognition as a leader in the field.

The individual is expected to present research findings at peer academic institutions as well as national and international scientific meetings. Qualified individuals will exhibit creativity in the application of cutting-edge techniques and approaches to advance their scientific progress.

The position includes a competitive salary, high-quality laboratory space and start-up funding.

Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing and overseeing a productive and vibrant research lab, publishing high impact papers in top tier journals, successfully obtaining external funding support to sustain the lab and achieving national / international recognition as a leader in the field.
