UNT Health Science Center — Faculty / Program Director, Health Administration

Our CAHME-accredited MHA program enrolls 50 students who are led by faculty active in interdisciplinary research throughout the University and active with regional, national and international partners. The Department has strong linkages with community agencies and health centers, regional healthcare systems, and state and national health services delivery systems. These partnerships provide opportunities for teaching, internship placements, and employment for our students.

The Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the field of health administration.

The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

  • Terminal degree in a healthcare related field or a graduate degree with senior level leadership experience within a healthcare organization
  • Commitment to inter-professional education
  • Capability to lead core faculty in program development and improvement
  • Enthusiasm for teaching
  • Aptitude for developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as health systems, payers, community partners and others
  • Experience with CAHME accreditation

The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in healthcare management, healthcare law, health data analytics, healthcare operations management or other related field.

Duties include teaching and mentoring of students and serving as the Master of Health Administration Program Director. This is a full-time, non-tenure, 12-month position.
