University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor of Music Composition

The Department of Music at the University of Pennsylvania seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Composition to begin July 1, 2020. The successful candidate will have an established record of compositional work and recognition thereof. The department welcomes applications from a broad range of artists, including composer-performers, composers working with interdisciplinary approaches, and especially composers for whom electronic media are an integrated part of their work. We seek a candidate with proven classroom experience who adds to the strengths of our current faculty; teaching responsibilities will include core and specialized undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates should have completed the Ph.D. or DMA by July 1, 2020.
