University of Chicago — Assistant Professor, Political Science

The Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago is building in political methodology and political economy. We invite applications for multiple positions at the assistant professor level with substantive interests in American Politics, Comparative Politics, or International Relations. Candidates must be able to contribute to the department’s graduate curriculum with courses in formal or quantitative methods.

Applicants are required to include: 1) a cover letter; 2) curriculum vitae; 3) writing sample; 4) brief teaching statement; 5) brief research statement; and 6) at least three letters of recommendation. Applicants also are encouraged to submit as optional documents up to three publications or unpublished manuscripts and evidence of teaching performance, such as teaching evaluations, if available.
