Four Faculty Positions in Chemistry

The Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB) program at University of California, Merced is seeking applicants for a total of four faculty positions. One position is in the areas of biochemistry, biophysics or biophysical chemistry at the Assistant (tenure track) Professor level. The other three positions are in chemical synthesis including organic, inorganic, organometallic molecules, macromolecules, biomacromolecules, or materials; two at the Assistant (tenure-track) and one at the Associate (tenured) or Full Professor (tenured) level. The CCB currently has fifteen faculty spanning most areas of chemistry. Applicants must have a strong research record and the potential to develop an independent, innovative, and funded research program. Candidates are expected to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in chemistry or related field is required; postdoctoral experience is desirable.
