New Assignments for a Trio of African American Faculty Members

Stacie J. Fairley has been named  assistant professor of microbiology and immunology on the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was an assistant professor at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Dr. Fairley holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in microbiology from Alabama State University.

Gary Bailey, professor of practice in the School of Social Work at Simmons University in Boston, was named assistant dean for community engagement and social justice in the College of Social Science, Public Policy, and Practice at the university. He has been on the Simmons faculty since 1999.

In 2010 Professor Bailey was elected president of the International Federation of Social Workers.

Sarah J. Williams has been named an assistant professor of law at Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson Law School. She previously served as deputy director and associate director for the Division of Registration and Inspections, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board in Washington, D.C.

Professor Williams holds a juris doctorate from the New York University School of Law.
