New York University — Clinical Faculty in Healthcare Management, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service

The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University (NYU Wagner) seeks to hire a full-time contract (non-tenure track) faculty member with expertise in healthcare management. The principal responsibilities include leading and teaching in two masters-degree programs: an online Master of Health Administration (MHA) and an on-campus Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Health Policy and Management.

Candidates should have a distinguished record as a manager in the healthcare field or as a faculty member with experience managing academic programs. The successful candidate will join NYU Wagner’s full-time faculty and should have a strong interest in interacting with faculty, students, and staff in a multi-disciplinary professional school of public service.

In addition to teaching, the role entails overseeing curriculum and course development, recruiting and supervising adjunct faculty, and assessing program effectiveness. In addition, the position requires engaging effectively with a range of external stakeholders including alumni, employers, and accrediting bodies (particularly the Association of University Programs in Health Administration and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education), as well as a variety of related internal constituencies at NYU.

Candidates must hold an earned graduate or professional degree and have at least 8 years of professional healthcare-related experience.

Teaching experience in a university setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as organizational behavior and theory; strategic management; human resource management; operations management, including performance improvement; or financial management.
