Quentin Wright Named Founding President of Lone Star College-Houston North

Quentin Wright has been named the founding president of Lone Star College-Houston North. The new Lone Star College campus is made up of four different Lone Star centers: LSC-Fairbanks, LSC-Victory, LSC-Greenspoint, and LSC-Fallbrook. The four campuses will symbolically merge to become LSC-Houston North. Dr. Wright will assume his presidency on June 15, 2019.

Dr. Wright has been a Lone Star College administrator since 2015. He has served as the vice president of instruction, interim vice chancellor of academic success, and most recently, special assistant to the chancellor. Before coming to Lone Star College, he held many roles at Mountain View Community College in Dallas including speech instructor, executive dean, and interim vice president of academic affairs. Earlier in his career he served as a speech instructor at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Wright holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree both in communication from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of North Texas.
