University of Northern Iowa — Assistant Director, Student Success & Retention

Oversees and manages communication and outreach for students on academic alert and probation, non-registered students, and students with various registration holds; directs CRM case management projects for at-risk populations, and supervises graduate students and success coaches who support outreach efforts; manages Early Readmission Program for students returning after academic suspension; teaches UNIV 3159: Unlocking Motivation and Learning (2 credit course); administers UNI early alert and intervention system, including the integration of predictive modeling data; manages campus-wide retention efforts for underrepresented and marginalized students; collaborates with academic colleges to ensure consistent support for students from matriculation through graduation; and manages course-embedded peer mentor program, including recruitment, selection, supervision, and training. Master’s degree; at least three years of experience in a student services field, such as orientation, retention, residence life, or advising; and demonstrated competence in delivering group presentations and working individually with at-risk students required. Student experience will be considered. Experience in multicultural programs preferred.
