University of Nevada Las Vegas — Assistant Professor-In-Residence, Anthropology / Archaeology

The Anthropology Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a continuing non-tenure-track Faculty-in-Residence Assistant Professor of Anthropology/Archaeology beginning fall semester 2019. Applicants must have proven expertise and training in both archaeology and teaching.

The ideal applicant demonstrates excellent teaching in Anthropology with strong specialties in Archaeology. The successful candidate will teach a 4-4 on-line and in-person semester course load of introductory courses in anthropology and archaeology as well as upper division and graduate courses in areas of specialization. Area of interest is open, and preference will be given to candidates who can teach archaeology laboratory methods and regional archaeological courses.


This position requires a Ph.D. from a regionally accredited college or university and demonstrated excellent teaching in Anthropology with strong specialties in Archaeology.


Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
