Full-Time Tenure Track or Tenured Faculty Positions, Asst., Assoc. or Professor Level 

The Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine invites applications for full-time tenure track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor Level.

We are seeking candidates with strong academic accomplishments in restorative dental material, biomaterial and biofilm sciences with multidisciplinary background in engineering and/or microbiology to complement our departmental research strengths. The department’s interests include CAD/CAM technologies (milling and 3D printing) and materials, especially ceramics, their mechanical properties as well as biological interactions, particularly bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation. 

Beyond the School of Dental Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania provides an ideal infrastructure for development of new materials and translational research with its world-renowned Schools and Centers, including the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Singh Nanotechnology Center, and the Pennovation Center. A strong track record of extramural grant funding and interest in School- and University-wide collaborations are encouraged.

Applicants with a PhD, DMD/DDS or dual degree equivalent (DMD/DDS-PhD, MD-PhD, VMD /DVM -PhD) are invited to submit a statement of research and teaching interests, curriculum vitae, and names with contact information for three references.
