University of Pennsylvania — Junior and Senior Transplant / MCS Surgeons

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks highly qualified candidates for faculty positions in the Clinician-Educator (non-tenure) track at the full Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor ranks.  Responsibilities include a combination of research, educational and inpatient/outpatient clinical care duties. Teaching responsibilities will cover interaction with residents and medical students.  Research and scholarship in the area of cardiothoracic surgery, and specifically in the specific area of cardiothoracic transplantation (lungs and hearts) and mechanical support (ECMO and VAD), will be expected.

Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.  They must also be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Assistant Professor
