Stony Brook University Health Sciences is searching for a Dean, School of Health Technology and Management (SHTM)

The Deanship of the Stony Brook University School of Health Technology and Management (SHTM) represents a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to set and advance the mission of one of the premier Health Professions Schools in the country, located within a major public research university located on the North Shore of Long Island, 60 miles from New York City.

The SHTM is one of five Health Sciences Schools at Stony Brook University. The school’s mission is to provide the highest quality education in a multidisciplinary learning environment that fosters research, scholarly activity, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, leadership and professionalism, while affirming the importance of ethical behavior, human diversity, service, and a team approach to healthcare.

The school offers baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees in both clinical and non-clinical areas that include: applied health informatics, athletic training, clinical laboratory sciences, health science, health care management, medical molecular biology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, polysomnographic technology and respiratory care. The majority of programs are full-time entry level. A post-professional program for physician assistants and for medical molecular biology are for working healthcare professionals.
