The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh is seeking well-qualified, dynamic candidates for the position of Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).  

Reporting directly to the College’s President and acting as a member of the President’s cabinet, the Vice President will create and implement policy to reflect our commitment to inclusive excellence, evaluate inclusiveness, and implement best practices related to diversity, equity and inclusion.  The position is responsible for leading the further development, implementation and on-going assessment/monitoring of SUNY Plattsburgh’s strategic plan for diversity and inclusion. As a key member of the administration, the successful candidate will establish and nurture collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders: faculty, students, staff and the Plattsburgh community.  

The work of this leader will be in partnership with the other Vice Presidents and academic deans who are committed to the current and future DEI work on the campus.  Other partnerships will include Human Resource Services, Affirmative Action, Title IX, Strategic Enrollment Management, Faculty Senate, the Center for Teaching Excellence, collective bargaining unions and other college stakeholders.
