About the Position:
The Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek scholars trained in Sociology, Anthropology, or related disciplines with a focus on international migration. We would be particularly interested in applicants whose work also addresses issues of gender and/or indigenous peoples. Applicants should have an innovative research program and a commitment to outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

GSS is located within FIU’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, and brings together faculty from anthropology, geography, sociology, and other social sciences that address themselves to the central mission of the department (see departmental web page here: https://gss.fiu.edu).
