Wayne State University — Assistant Professor of Music History

POSITION:  The College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University seeks a qualified candidate for appointment as Assistant Professor of Music (Music History) in the Department of Music.  This full-time tenure track position will begin no later than August 19, 2019. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate music history courses, Music Appreciation for non-majors and serve on Department, College and University committees as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The Department seeks candidates with a minimum of a PhD in musicology, two years of college-level teaching experience across the spectrum of Western music, (may include teaching assistant positions), a record of peer-reviewed scholarly activity, and experience with current classroom instructional technology.
