University of Pittsburgh — Non-Tenure Stream Open Rank Position in Global Management

The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a non-tenure stream, open rank faculty position in Global Management (Organizations & Entrepreneurship area) beginning Fall 2019. This new position is a key step in strengthening the Katz School’s commitment to develop global-ready graduates. The primary responsibility of the selected candidate will be to develop and teach courses in Global Management, with an emphasis on Experience-Based Learning, including projects in global locations and student coaching. 

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the current managerial dilemmas faced by corporations in today’s global business environment and of the skill-sets that managers facing that reality must possess. Prior senior management experience with global responsibility in industry positions or in consulting is a must. The position calls for a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as strong organizational and networking skills to work closely with other faculty and staff members driving the Katz School’s Experience-Based Learning programs. At minimum, candidates must have a Master’s degree and a PhD would be a definite plus. When filled, the position will be a renewable appointment subject to satisfactory performance and the reappointment process for non-tenure stream faculty.
