University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor (AC Track), Amplified Pain (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia)

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of pediatric psychology with a focus on the treatment of amplified musculoskeletal pain. Responsibilities include conducting individual and family-based psychosocial evaluations for patients seen in CHOP’s outpatient amplified pain clinic; providing individual, group, family, and parent-based psychological intervention for patients being treated in the intensive-day hospital and inpatient pain program at CHOP; and collaborating with multi-disciplinary treatment team members on case conceptualization and treatment planning. Responsibilities also include teaching, training, and supervision of psychology interns, psychology externs, and medical trainees rotating through the amplified pain clinic and/or intensive programs, and program development within the amplified pain programs and outpatient clinic. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Pennsylvania license in psychology is required.
