Purdue University — Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

The Purdue University, College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a tenure track or clinical track faculty member at the rank of Full Professor to provide exemplary leadership to academic programs. The position is budgeted at 0.5 FTE as an Associate Dean, and a 0.5 FTE appointment will be available in an appropriate academic unit within the College, depending on the areas of expertise of the candidate.

The goal is to provide leadership that moves the College to the highest level of excellence in our professional and undergraduate academic programs. Position responsibilities include providing oversight ensuring overall student success. This position will: supervise key college personnel responsible for learning & assessment, student services, admissions & recruitment, and career development; oversee student organizations; monitor student progression and concerns; represent the College at national and international meetings; and interface with College and University offices responsible for academic affairs. The successful candidate will fulfill faculty responsibilities within their home department including teaching (professional, undergraduate, or graduate) and scholarship. This individual will report to the Dean and will serve on the College Executive Committee. Qualifications include a Ph.D. or Pharm.D. (or equivalent), academic experience commensurate with faculty rank, and demonstrated administrative and leadership abilities in higher education related to pharmacy. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Screening of applicants will begin November 1, 2018 and the search will remain open until the position is filled.
