Miami University — Director Budgeting / Business Transformation

Job Summary:  Job ID: 6570 – FT – Unclassified (salaried)

Prepares and analyzes university budgets, and financial forecasts using best practices and advanced technologies.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related analytical field, with a minimum of three years’ experience or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience involving budgeting and analysis in large, complex organizational functions and processes.
  • Proficiency advanced skills in computing; includes online general ledger, spreadsheet, database, presentation graphics and windows applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of processes and data structures in multiple components of a robust ERP, including financials, human resources, and student and faculty sub systems.
  • Capacity for working leveraging with large, diverse sets of numerical data to meet strategic objectives.
  • Ability to handle lead and manage multiple tasks projects and respond with precision and accuracy to deadlines having short durations.
  • A working knowledge of accounting practices and principles with an understanding of fund accounting practices.
  • Effective communication and organization skills, with ability to use them in a fast paced highly productive environment.
