Education Studies Generalist

The Education Studies Department at DePauw University invites applications for a two-year term position as an Education Studies Generalist to begin in August 2019.  The teaching assignment is three courses each semester, and the candidate should be qualified to offer introductory core courses (Foundations of Education, Developmental Theories of Education, or Deconstructing Difference: Education and Society) and contribute electives in at least one of the five departmental strands (political economy, history, philosophy, socio-cultural, teaching/learning). A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive pedagogy are essential.  Knowledge of critical pedagogy and critical race theory, as well as completed Ph.D. preferred. ABD considered.  Rank is open and salary will be commensurate with experience.
