University of Pennsylvania — Clinician Educator Faculty Position in General Internal Medicine

The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine is required. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for building a collaborative research program in areas of high relevance for general internal medicine, including but not limited to health services and policy research: comparative effectiveness, health economics, behavioral economics, health psychology, clinical or social epidemiology, medical sociology, and disease prevention. We are particularly interested in candidates who want to address these issues through engagement with the health system and the division’s clinical activities, to help advance the delivery of health care and population health through a learning health care system. He/she will also provide direct patient care in either the inpatient or outpatient setting and be expected to maintain an active clinical practice. In addition he/she will have opportunities for participating in the Perelman School’s outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.
