The Facilities Services Department, Major Projects, at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for a full-time, one-year temporary Certified Construction Manager (CCM)/Project Management Professional (PMP).

Description of Responsibilities:
The Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) will provide project scope, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, as well as the efficient use of resources, on projects.  Will insure proper communications with stakeholders, management of risk, and also provide procurement for the project. 

In addition, the Certified Construction Manager will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, degree program recognized by IFMA (International Facility Management Association) or a related degree by the time of appointment and 3 years in the development and equipping of physical facilities or Associate’s Degree in Project Management with 10 years in the development and equipping of higher education campus physical facilities
  • Analytical skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications, Computer Aided Design (AutoCad) software, BIM, Revit, and GIS modeling
  • Experience and proficiency in Project Management System(s) such as e-Builder, Primavera, or Contract Manager
  • Core areas of skill and knowledge shall be; Project Management, Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability, Leadership and Strategy, Communication, Quality, Technology, and Operations and Maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years in the development and equipping of higher education campus physical facilities

Description of Department:  Facilities Services Major Projects manages the major capital projects for SUNY Oswego.  In coordination with state agencies such as the New York State Construction Fund (SUCF) and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), Major Projects addresses the needs of the campus for the larger renovations, upgrades, and repairs.
