The College Association at Delhi, Inc., the official title for Auxiliary Services at SUNY Delhi, provides comprehensive support services for the campus community, including dining, catering, ID cards, payroll, vending, and printing services. The organization also owns real estate, operates a restaurant at The College Golf Course, and contracts with Barnes & Noble to manage the campus bookstore. The College Association also provides student scholarships; promotes academic programs and services; fosters staff development; supports major campus events such as Orientation, Community Service Day, Family Day, Commencement, and major student weekend events; provides financial support on behalf of the college to a number of campus non-profit partners in the community; and promotes other campus priorities. 

Reporting to the President of the Board of Directors and serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation, the Executive Director, Auxiliary Services, leads the operation of the College’s auxiliary services corporation with the objective of delivering a superior service experience to the SUNY Delhi students, faculty, staff, and community. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration and executive leadership of the wide range of auxiliary operations which support and align with the College’s mission, providing strategic planning and vision for financial, operational, marketing and facility development. The position prepares and administers the annual budget, oversees the corporate risk management program, and manages applicable corporate contracts/agreements. The incumbent must have the ability to coordinate, analyze, advise, provide guidance, evaluate, observe, interview, investigate, comprehend, and interpret policies and procedures, laws, guidelines and regulations, and formulate applicable solutions to organizational issues; conduct regular assessment activities to advise improvements and enhancements to services and operations; promote the activities of the Corporation to the campus community through outreach and marketing; and work tirelessly to maintain an atmosphere of positive relations with students, faculty, staff, Board of Directors, and the Delhi community at all times. The Executive Director is responsible for a full- and part-time staff of approximately 300, including approximately 20 managers, 85 union members and 185 student employees, as well as an $11 million budget.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university (master’s degree or MBA preferred), with demonstrated leadership in one or more auxiliary services and increasing levels and scope of responsibilities and supervisory experience. It is strongly preferred that candidates have experience in a higher education or auxiliary service corporation environment. The successful candidate must also possess strong organizational skills, an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with the ability to plan strategically. Experience with budget planning, fiscal oversight, marketing, retail, customer service, team building, project management, and resource allocation; an understanding of educational organizations; and excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Experience in personnel management, including supervision of staff and employee development; a commitment to diversity and social justice with the ability to create a department which is inclusive and accessible; the ability to write proposals, reports, and make presentations; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment are expected. Demonstrated ability and interest in working in a multicultural, multiethnic environment is required.
