Washington University in St. Louis — Tenure Track Positions in Social Policy

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis (brownschool.wustl.edu) invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor for fall 2018.

Candidates should demonstrate a substantive specialization, such as in policy analysis, politics of public policy, economics, statistics, or management and may have a topical area of interest in fields relevant to the substantive areas, such as advancing equity, health policy, poverty policy, social insurance, global policy, housing policy, environmental policy, or other some other important current or emerging policy area. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in an appropriate and relevant field; competence to teach at the master’s and PhD levels; and commitment to conduct high-level research, including the production of scholarly publications and preparation of research proposals for external funding. The Brown School has also been a longstanding leader in using evidence-based research to improve lives through policy. We are home to the newly launched Clark-Fox Policy Institute, which works to connect evidence-based policy solutions to public awareness, practitioner training and policy decision-making. The School’s expanding dual-degree in social policy features dynamic partnerships with seven of the top universities in China, as well as enrollment from current MSW and MPH students who are eager to expand their impact with one year of in-depth study in policy.

Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications.
