Coordinator of Facilities/Activities

The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Campus Recreation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Facilities/Activities Coordinator. The Coordinator assists in the day to day management of the Student Recreation Center, Elam Center and surrounding outdoor recreational areas. Facility Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, staffing, and scheduling of programs that operate in the facilities; works with intramural, fitness and aquatic staff to operate programs; works with departments, student groups and community groups that utilize the facilities; trains and supervises students. The position will also perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Recreation. These will include, but are not limited to assisting with student events, staff orientation and weekend recreational events.

Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer 1-2 years of experience with managerial and/or supervisory experience of student staff. Must have understanding and experience of building scheduling and maintenance; willing to work nights and some weekends; knowledge of safety codes and event management procedures; excellent computer skills. Have the ability to work with a diverse group of people and the skills to deal with the public in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Needs to be creative, multi-task oriented and be someone that brings energy, enthusiasm and experience to the Office of Campus Recreation.
