Nearly 200 years of experience educating medical students.
New York University has sponsored the NYU School of Medicine in Manhattan for more than 175 years. Andrew Hamilton, the President of New York University, and the Board of Trustees of NYU have fully embraced the need to establish a new medical school at its NYU Winthrop site in Long Island, to be known as the NYU Long Island School of Medicine.  NYU Winthrop has served as an LCME-approved regional campus for medical students since 2011 and accordingly has extensive experience in providing outstanding clinical rotations and electives to medical students.  In 2016 NYU Winthrop became affiliated with NYU Langone Health and in July 2017, leadership across campuses (NYU, NYU Winthrop and NYU School of Medicine) began designing the new three year pathway primary care based medical school to be located in Mineola, New York on the NYU Winthrop campus.
