University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Pharmacy @ MSU — Assistant / Associate NT Clinical Professor

Applications are invited for a non-tenure-track, 12-month faculty appointment in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy. This faculty position at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor rank will support the educational and teaching mission and strategic initiatives of the UMKC School of Pharmacy with a practice site based located at Truman Medical Center with the Endocrinology Clinic and Primary Care Clinics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to pharmacy students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Academic responsibilities specific to this Ambulatory Care Clinical Practice Faculty Position will include the following: provision of direct patient care; didactic lecturing; provision of inter-professional education; elective and required course instruction and/or development; skills based assessment; and provide integration of psychiatry care related topics into the School of Pharmacy curriculum. They will also be expected to contribute to the creative and scholarly pursuits of the Division. Service to the UMKC School of Pharmacy, the School, its Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, the University and profession are expected through participation in faculty meetings, service on School committees, and participation in state and national professional organizations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient care skills are essential. Candidates must have an earned Pharm.D. with a PGY1 residency or equivalent experience, and must be eligible for Missouri licensure. It is preferable that candidates also have completed a PGY2 Residency.
Rank and salary are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
