The Assistant Vice President of Online Program Enrollment is a senior-level position reporting to the Associate Vice President of Champlain College Online in the College’s largest academic division, led by the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academics. This critical leadership role brings strategic vision, innovation, drive, and a deep understanding of—and track record for—building performance-driven teams, infrastructure, and overall capacity for growing sustainable online enrollments in the individual adult marketplace, with active duty military service members and their families, and with corporate/public sector partners.

With responsibility for truED, Champlain College’s signature partnership program that currently accounts for approximately three-quarters of Champlain College’s online students, the AVP of Online Program Enrollment will create an overall, multi-year truED growth plan that includes, but is not limited to: (a) identification and development of new truED partner organizations that align with the Division’s mission, values, and program portfolio, (b) aggressive cultivation of current truED organizations, and (c) development of a performance-driven culture with clear strategies, goals, and leadership for as well as celebration of individual and team accomplishments across the truED team.  

Overseeing recruitment across all adult online channels—truED (partnerships), military, and standard (community college feeders, individual marketplace)—the AVP of Online Program Enrollment creates new opportunities for growth through overseeing the development of strategic partnerships with community colleges, military bases, and other organizations; the creation of referral and second-degree strategies; the mentoring and motivation of admission and sales outreach teams; and the oversight of the third-party recruitment vendor.

This position is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, talented, and enterprising online enrollment professional to provide strategic direction and leadership for recruitment across all adult online channels at an innovative, forward-looking institution. 

Requirements include:

  • seven to ten years of experience in enrollment management or closely related higher education leadership role; 
  • a strong track record in building capacity within an online admissions and sales team, and delivering on growth and revenue goals; 
  • demonstrated experience in developing operational plans within a complex environment; 
  • proven experience leading, motivating, and managing recruitment and sales teams, and in cross-departmental collaboration and institutional leadership; 
  • knowledge, understanding, and demonstrable experience working with students and employees from diverse backgrounds; and 
  • a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree or doctorate preferred).
