Two African Americans Who Have Been Named to New Administrative Positions

LeAnna Rice was appointed director of the African, Latino, Asian, Native American (ALANA) Center at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. She was the campus advisor for the JED Foundation and previously served as a mental health counselor and outreach coordinator for Binghamton University in New York.

Rice holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Kelvin Bentley was named assistant vice president for digital learning and innovation in the Division of Research and Strategic Innovation at the University of West Florida in Pensacola.  He has been serving as vice president of academic affairs at the Tarrant County College Connect Campus in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Bentley is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, where he majored in psychology. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Delaware.
