Associate Director of Milestone Reunion Giving

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Associate Director of Milestone Reunion Giving works closely with colleagues in the Trinity College Fund, Leadership Giving, Alumni Relations, and Planned Giving to drive the fundraising effort for the 50th and 55th Reunions and for the eight non-reunion classes leading up to both reunions; the 46th through 49th reunion and the 51st through 54th reunion; as well as the two non-reunion classes post 55th reunion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set goals for all classes for both donors and dollars.
  • Initiate and execute development strategies to maximize support from alumni for both the 50th and 55th Reunion classes.
  • Recruit and retain volunteers for all classes, including robust reunion committees, and work with those volunteers on planning and executing successful fundraising campaigns.
  • Work collaboratively with Alumni Relations staff with respect to reunion programming, including weekend events, regalia, and the Reunion Yearbook.
  • Work with Alumni Relations staff in their efforts to coordinate volunteer training sessions and events, and leads fundraising training sessions, including the 50th Reunion Homecoming program.
  • Help coordinate prospect strategies with colleagues in Leadership Gifts and Development Research.
  • In collaboration with class agents and reunion committees, craft class-level solicitations for email, mail, and social media.
  • Assist in preparing reports, briefing materials, correspondence, proposals, statistics and related documents for solicitation of donors.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward an assigned pool of 150 leadership gift prospects and conduct a minimum of 50 visits annually.
  • Adhere to and enforce college confidentiality policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel by land and air.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years related experience required, preferably more.
  • Experience with direct solicitation and volunteer management strongly preferred. Must be willing and able to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, spread sheets, databases, email, Web, as well as excellent writing and editing skills also are required.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be tactful and discreet in working with donors and volunteers.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
