Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Faculty member to join the School of Nursing starting Fall 2018. The position provides instruction within the faculty role for the Associate degree-nursing program.

Duties will include:
Program Development:
Participate in annual systematic assessment of program
Participates in analyzing data and makes recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary

Teaching Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based instruction in accordance with the policies set forth by the College
Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
Incorporate student service learning opportunities

Assist in advisement of students
Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
Track student’s completion of progression requirements

Academic & Organization Commitment:
Serve on campus committees
Participate in full and part-time faculty meetings
Participate in accreditation reviews and reports
Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
Pursue scholarly interests
Engage prospective students and accepted students though recruitment strategies, open house events, and accepted student days

Promote and represent the School of Nursing in the community and with our clinical partner:


  • Two years experience teaching in a nursing program
  • MSN degree or matriculation in a MSN program
  • Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in New York State are requirements for the position by time of appointment
  • Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching above-mentioned courses at the college level
  • Ability to engage in scholarly activities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail; and computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
  • Understanding the value of civic engagement

Additional Information:

  • Salary $52,000
  • This is a 10 month academic year, tenure track year position
