New Administrative Positions for Five African Americans in Higher Education

Dustin Fulton was appointed associate director for student affairs for conduct and community standards at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, effective May 1. He joined the staff at the center in 2014 and currently serves as senior equity assurance administrator and deputy conduct and compliance officer in the Office of Equity and Diversity.

Fulton is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He holds a master’s degree in leadership and policy studies from the University of Memphis.

Cynthia W. Roseberry was named vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Wilberforce University in Ohio. She has been serving as secretary for the university’s board of trustees.

Roseberry is a graduate of Wilberforce University and earned a juris doctorate at the Georgia State University College of Law.

Lanze J. Thompson is the new vice president for financial services at Clark Atlanta University. He had been serving as vice president for financial management for the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

Dr. Thompson is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where he majored in economics. He earned an MBA at Boston College and a doctorate in business from Pace University in New York.

Douglas R. Allen II was appointed vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer at Kentucky State University. He has been serving as director of financial services for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.

Allen is a member of the board of directors of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants. Earlier in his career, he served as an audit supervisor in the Office of the Auditor of Public Accounts for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Carlton Green was promoted to director of diversity training and education in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Maryland, College Park. He was a member of the staff at the university’s counseling center.

Dr. Green is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he majored in ethnic studies and history. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Boston College.
