Five African Americans Named to New Administrative Posts at Universities

Nsombi B. Ricketts was named vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She will assume her new duties on July 5. Ricketts has been serving as assistant provost for diversity and inclusion at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is the former senior director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Ricketts is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she majored in education and social policy. She earned an MBA at Emory University in Atlanta.

Renita Miller was appointed associate dean for access, diversity, and inclusion at the Graduate School of Princeton University in New Jersey, effective July 16. She currently serves as dean of Berkeley College, one of 14 residential units at Yale University. She is also a lecturer in the political science department.

Dr. Miller is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she majored in business administration. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in political science from Rice University in Houston.

Keith E. Hall was appointed vice president and chief diversity officer at Azusa Pacific University in California, effective July 1. Dr. Hall has been on the staff at the university since 2012 and currently serves as executive director of the Undergraduate Academic Success Center.

Dr. Hall is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he majored in psychology. He holds a master’s degree in guidance and counseling psychology from Tennessee State University and a doctorate in organizational psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Neijma Celestine-Donnor was named program manager for hate/bias response in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Maryland, College Park. She was a victim assistance officer for the Roper Victim Assistance Academy of Maryland.

Celestine-Donnor holds a master of social work degree and is a licensed clinical social work supervisor.

Lisa Griffin is the new vice president of patient access services at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was director of patient access at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas.

Griffin holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and management and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
