Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Associate Vice Chancellor of Auxiliary Services and Business Enterprises (AVC) is responsible for strategic planning, administration and management responsibilities for five Auxiliary Service units and resource allocation and capital planning for the division of Student Affairs.

The AVC is responsible for a total Auxiliary Services annual budget in excess of $132 million. Oversees 440 career, contract and limited employees, and approximately 1400 student employees. The position plays a critical role in advising and making recommendations to the Vice Chancellor in the determination of overall campus objectives, policies, and plans on behalf of Student Affairs.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for Master’s or MBA degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; or 10 year equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in revenue building and inventory control.
  • Experience in running auxiliary, fee, re-charge and/or business enterprise.
  • Experience in business modeling, outsourcing, and auxiliary services in higher education setting.
  • Proven track record in long-term profitability university auxiliary services.
  • Cost modeling experience in inventory, staffing, administration and operations, and expenses in higher education setting.
