Sonoma State University — American Multicultural Studies Lecture Pool

The Department of American Multicultural Studies (AMCS) at Sonoma State University invites qualified applications for a pool of lecturers to teach the department’s courses in the Africana Studies concentration. The number of available positions and courses varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. Responsibilities include preparing course syllabi, presenting lectures and/or facilitating classroom discussions, preparing and grading assignments, and holding office hours.

To be considered, candidates must have at least one year of teaching experience at the college level and must hold a Master’s degree in Ethnic Studies, History, English, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, or other related field. A PhD is desired.
