Dawn Bragg Appointed Dean of Medical Student Affairs at the University of South Dakota

Dawn Bragg is the new dean of medical student affairs at the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Dr. Bragg had been serving as a professor of pediatrics and associate dean for student inclusion and academic enrichment at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She first joined the staff at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1994.

Mary Nettleman, dean of the School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota, said that “we are very pleased to welcome Dr. Bragg to our leadership team. She has extensive experience in medical school affairs and a national reputation for excellence. Her skills will help the school more fully support its students and ensure their success.”

A native of Jamaica, Dr. Bragg is a graduate of Florida A&M University, where she majored in animal science. She holds a master degree and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Illinois.
