FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College invites nominations and applications for appointment as an assistant professor. The position is tenure-track with a start date of August 28, 2018. The position has a reduced teaching load until tenure.

The position requires teaching core courses in quantitative research for the Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, research methods for the Master of Public Administration, and an elective course in international affairs for the Master of International Affairs. The latter course offering may be in country-specific studies, especially in South America, or in comparative public policy with a focus on the Western Hemisphere.

The Marxe School welcomes candidates with diverse theoretical and disciplinary perspectives. We are especially interested in candidates who have a strong interest and commitment to understanding how to build more culturally and racially diverse organizations and policies that are reflective of our society as a whole.

Baruch College is a public, urban institution with an enrollment of approximately 17,500 students. It is one of 23 CUNY colleges. The Marxe School delivers undergraduate and graduate degrees in public policy and administration. The College houses a wide range of cutting-edge policy and research programs including the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research, the New York Federal Statistical Research Data Center, the Baruch Survey Research Center, and the Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management. QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate in a relevant discipline is required. The successful candidate will have a record of scholarship that merits appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should have a demonstrated research program and evidence of the ability to teach successfully. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a willingness to work with multicultural or otherwise diverse groups of people.
