SUNY Adirondack — Assistant / Associate Professor of English

SUNY Adirondack (Adirondack Community College) is a comprehensive two-year college and member of the State University of New York, located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, one hour north of Albany and thirty minutes from Saratoga Springs. We have a student body of approximately 3800 full and part time students, including 23% returning adults, and 15% people of color. Seeking an experienced teacher of writing and literature, with a background in African-American and/or Latinx literature. Ability to teach at all levels of writing is also required. Strong preference will be given to individuals who have experience teaching in programs for at-risk students, including ALP and learning communities. There is a standard 5/5 teaching load.


  • Masters degree or doctorate with a concentration in any of the following fields: African- American Literature, Latinx literature, composition theory.
