The Board of Trustees of the Pasadena Area Community College District seeks highly qualified candidates for its chief executive officer. The successful candidate must be committed to the comprehensive community college mission with demonstrated leadership skills to carry on the institution’s tradition of outstanding service to the greater Pasadena area, including the ten San Gabriel Valley communities that comprise this outstanding Southern California district. With an enrollment of more than 29,000 students each semester and offering 114 academic degree programs and 76 career and technical programs, the college educates one of the most diverse student populations in the nation.

The college was a finalist for the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, widely recognized as the nation’s premier honor for high achievement in student academic performance, student equity, and providing pathways to university education and career success. The ideal Superintendent/President will possess the educational, professional, and personal qualities to lead the District through the opportunities and challenges facing a modern and diverse public educational institution.

The seven-member Board has retained the search consultancy services of Dr. Sandra Serrano (from the Collaborative Brain Trust) to facilitate the selection process.
