The University of Texas at Arlington — Tenured Associate / Full Professor, Institute for Predictive Performance Methodologies and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering

The Institute for Predictive Performance Methodologies and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington invite applications for a tenured associate/full professor position with a focus on new functional materials. The key objective is to hire a faculty member with outstanding qualifications in the area of functional materials, with possible focus areas in prediction of properties and performance of materials (from nano to macro scales) in the presence of mechanical, electrical, and thermal applied fields, with emphasis on new functional materials, non-equilibrium materials, catalytic materials and nanomanufacturing. Major emphasis will be on potential research collaboration with faculty members from other departments across UTA and outside the University. The successful candidate is expected to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses; develop externally funded research programs; supervise graduate students; and serve on departmental, college, and university committees.

Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. degree in a relevant engineering field, a strong background in an emerging research area related to new functional materials and an established record of external funding.
