University of Tennessee Martin — Assistant / Associate Professor of Accounting

Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting: The University of Tennessee at Martin, College of Business and Global Affairs (CBGA), Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Political Science, is seeking applications for a tenure-track appointment in Accounting. The position is open to applicants who are either doctoral qualified or ABD from an AACSB-accredited institution, and certification is preferred. The position is a nine-month appointment. The anticipated start date for the hire will be Fall 2018.

Responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily in Financial, Auditing or Managerial Accounting, in the College of Business and Global Affairs. Scholarship and research leading to journal publications are expected and required for tenure consideration. The faculty member will also have responsibilities of student advising, research, and service to the College, University, and business community. Effective pedagogic and communications skills are required. Interest in technology-based course delivery, including multimedia and distance learning, is also desired.

The University of Tennessee at Martin is a primary campus in the University of Tennessee System. The campus is located in Northwest Tennessee approximately 125 miles north of Memphis and 150 miles west of Nashville. The University of Tennessee at Martin has a combined graduate and undergraduate enrollment of approximately 7,400 students. The emphasis is solidly on excellence in undergraduate instruction.
