University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor Tenure Track, Assistant Professor Clinician Educator

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. Candidates must be board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology or be board eligible and within five years of fellowship.

The Division of Hematology seeks candidates for two Assistant Professor positions – one in the Tenure Track and one in the Clinician Educator Track for the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (HTC). The CHOP HTC provides comprehensive care for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders with the expectation that the successful applicant can provide state-of-the-art care to such challenging patients. A focus on clinical application of gene therapy in hemostasis and thrombosis with also ongoing basic research in this field are desirable. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in education and teaching as well.

The successful applicants will have clinical and research experience in a relevant area and evidence of independent investigation and funding.
